Terms of Service

The agreement for using SnapDiagnose.

Effective date: June 22, 2026

These Terms are an agreement between you and SEAX Enterprises, a sole proprietorship ("we," "us"), covering your use of the SnapDiagnose app and website. By using SnapDiagnose, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

1. What SnapDiagnose is

SnapDiagnose uses AI to suggest what might be wrong from a photo, whether it's a reasonable do-it-yourself job, the parts and tools you might need, region-based cost estimates, and links to tutorials. It is an informational tool to help you plan.

2. What SnapDiagnose is NOT — read this

You are responsible for deciding what work to attempt. Anything involving gas, the main electrical panel, structural elements, or work needing permits should be handled by a licensed professional. When in doubt, stop and call a pro. Do not rely on SnapDiagnose for decisions affecting safety, health, property, or legal compliance without independent professional verification.

3. Safety and assumption of risk

Home repair can be dangerous. By using guidance from SnapDiagnose you accept that you undertake any work at your own risk, will follow applicable codes and manufacturer instructions, and will use proper safety equipment. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for injury, damage, or loss resulting from work you choose to do.

4. Your account

You're responsible for your account and for the accuracy of what you submit. Don't misuse the service — including uploading content you don't have rights to, attempting to break or overload the service, or using it for anything unlawful.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and text you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process that content to provide the service (including sending it to our AI provider to generate a diagnosis) as described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the right to submit what you upload.

6. Purchases, subscriptions, and free use

SnapDiagnose is free to start, with a limited number of free diagnoses. Optional subscriptions and one-time credit packs are available. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel in your App Store settings. Credit packs do not expire. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies.

7. Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We aim for reliable service but don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

SnapDiagnose is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, and applicable federal laws, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

10. Dispute resolution, arbitration, and class-action waiver

This section applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law. Some jurisdictions — including some Canadian provinces — restrict or prohibit mandatory arbitration and class-action waivers in consumer agreements, in which case parts of this section may not apply to you.

Most concerns can be resolved quickly by emailing support@snapdiagnose.com first. If we can't resolve a dispute informally, then, to the fullest extent permitted by law, you and we agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or SnapDiagnose will be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court — except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either party may seek injunctive relief to protect intellectual property.

Class-action and jury-trial waiver. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you and we agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding, and each waives any right to a jury trial.

30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing support@snapdiagnose.com with your account email and the words "arbitration opt-out." Opting out won't affect the rest of these Terms.

If any portion of this section is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect; if the class-action waiver is held unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) may proceed in court.

11. Copyright and DMCA notices

You must own or have the rights to any photo or content you submit (see Section 5). We respect intellectual-property rights, respond to valid infringement notices, may remove infringing content, and may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

If you believe content on SnapDiagnose infringes your copyright, email a written notice to support@snapdiagnose.com that includes: (1) your contact information; (2) identification of the copyrighted work; (3) identification of the allegedly infringing material and where it appears; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law; (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act for the owner; and (6) your physical or electronic signature.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; we'll change the "Effective date" and, for significant changes, give notice in the app or by email. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
